My Happiest Night of TV Ever

So first I watch Arrested Development, which is always awesome. Then, I watch How I Met Your Mother, which was hilarious due to the fact that two guys were discussing whether to go to their usual bar, which has a guaranteed level of fun, or to risk a new bar, which wasn't guaranteed. This discussion sounded like one that Wendy and I would have. Then I watched a TIVOed Family Guy rerun, where Peter and the guys sang "Don't Stop Believin'" (favorite Journey song) karaoke. I spazzed. Currently, I am watching Laguna Beach, and when LC and Stephen were walking around San Francisco, they played "Lights" (second favorite Journey song). I don't think this can be topped, just wanted to share my joy.

Yes I know I am a bad, bad Jolietan (but not an angry one) for not watching Prison Break. The rest of my family watches it, I have watched it and I do think it's good, but I just can't get into jail dramas, even though the main guy (Michael?) is really hot. I was planning to watch it from the start but my neighbors came over during the first episode and I hung out with them instead. I'm thinking I'll just rent the DVDs and catch up later because I missed a lot.

I keep TiVoing "Prison Break," but then never watching it.

Em, you are not a bad Jolietan, because I know you'll be right there to support the hometown during Sunday's J-town episode of "My Fair Brady." I can't wait. I love how super-extra-ghetto they make Joliet look in the previews. Good times.

I was very jealous last week, because Adrianne Curry purchased my dream car, a blue Mini. I've been coveting one for some time now. She seems like a nice girl, though, so I'll try not to think too many evil thoughts about her.

Oh yeah, you know I can't wait for that one. The show's kind of dragging when it's in LA, so I need some J-town. We may need to have a viewing party. FYI: my friends Diane and Jackie were at McBrody's when the show was filming, and they saw Adrianne's mom hand her a tampon across the table. Classy!!

Are the Bentley twins Hef's twins that were from around here? If so, their friend Jessica (who also joined the Heftourage) was in my jewelry and weaving class in high school. I think one of them also dated my ex-boyfriend's brother at some point, but I could be wrong about that.

don't forget to actually enjoy life, not just watch others pretend.

Well Natalie, I think I'm pretty darn good at life enjoying, but thanks for your advice. Maybe you'd be less condescending if you listened to Journey more often.

Yeah, Em, go out and enjoy yourself, you lazy, vicarious-thrill-seeking hoor. It's not as if you have random adventures and then post about them. Oh, wait. You totally do. My bad.

How I Met Your Mother is great. I want to hang out with its men and romance its women. Among the new shows this fall, it's second only to My Name Is Earl in my book. (Everybody Hates Chris is number three. It's fun but sometimes seems too comfortable with itself.)

Oh, I love How I Met Your Mother, it reminds me so much of my friends in some ways. I still haven't seen My Name Is Earl or Everybody Hates Chris, as they conflict with other important shows (Amazing Race and The OC), but I want to check them out.
